The common Dandelion or Taraxicum Officinale Sativum is a perennial that is very easy to grow. Great staple greens that are high in calcium and low in phosphorus, adds wonderful variety to your dragons diet while providing antioxidants and lots of vitamins.
Plant when it's cool during fall and spring... especially in the Southern states Treat as a biennial -- sow one year, pick the next.
To plant, sprinkle on soil and top with 1/8" to 1/4" layer of seed sprouting soil. Do not plant in very hot weather, sow in early spring or fall.
Dandelions require a long growing season and develops best at low temperatures. Best time to harvest is usually during the second year of growth.
