I'm sorry, but we are having problems with our equipment and need to purchase a new microscope. We apologize for any delays and will give you a free fecal upon request.
Please download the Fecal Float Test Information Form first, fill out all the information and enclose with fecal sample!
Fecal float exam service is offered for a small supply fee of $10.00 or is free to anyone who has purchased a Do It Yourself Kit and would like a second opinion. Our paypal address is firstname.lastname@example.org, send a printed copy of your payment with your poo.
Collect one or two samples of FRESH feces so that you have an amount equal to approximately 1 teaspoon. The more, the better!
When collecting the sample, pick it up with a pair of tongs or use a spoon, scoop or small cup, inside out baggie also works.
Do NOT include any urates with poo!!
Be sure the sample stays wet, do NOT wipe it up with a paper towel and put the paper towel smeared with feces in the bag.
Keep the sample stored in a sealable plastic bag in the refrigerator until you are ready to mail it.
Put the sealed plastic bag containing the sample into another resealable plastic bag so that it is DOUBLE protected and does not dry out.
Mail the sample First Class in a small padded envelope so that it is not machine sorted by the USPS.
Include your Name, Phone Number & Email Address on the information form so that we can contact you with the results.
Please be aware that we are only equipped to positively identify oxyurids (pinworms) and eimera or isospora (coccdia)
Do not fecal test animals that have been recently relocated unless you plan on retesting after 4 to 6 weeks.
